OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS NEARLY 1500 HAMPERS There are many people living in Frankston City who are isolated from friends and family and when in crisis have no option but to turn to local organisations for support. The Frankston Community Support and Information Centre would like to give you the opportunity to support our work by helping us raise funds for the 17th Annual Frankston Community Appeal. This Appeal is about helping people with real needs in our neighbourhood. Each year, approximately 350 festive hampers are distributed to local families who have been professionally assessed as suffering extreme financial hardship. The Centre, which co-ordinates this Appeal, works in conjunction with other local emergency relief agencies to stretch limited resources and provide assistance to more families. By working together, with one point for distribution, there is fairer allocation of hampers and it enables other local organisations to concentrate on providing different festive activities like free Christmas breakfast and lunch to disadvantaged residents.
